Share on Facebook Some projectors have speakers so that you can include audio in your multimedia business presentations. However, because of the limited space inside the projector, the speakers are often placed close to the cooling fan, and therefore don’t sound very good and aren’t capable of producing audio that is loud enough for everyone to hear in a large conference room. To get better sound quality or more volume, you can connect your projector’s audio output to a soundbar that combines speakers and amplification in one self-contained unit. Step 1 Select an appropriate audio cable to connect your projector to your soundbar. The cable needs to have a 3. The end that connects to your soundbar needs either another 3. Step 2 Press the “Power” button on your soundbar to turn it off. Step 3 Connect your projector to your computer as you normally would.

How to hook up a subwoofer to a stereo system Hint: You don’t necessarily need a receiver with subwoofer output jacks. Subs can provide a foundation to the sound that few speakers can muster on their own. So adding a sub is not just about adding more and deeper bass; rather, a properly integrated subwoofer can improve the overall sound of the system.
AV receivers feature bass management to direct the low bass frequencies to the sub and the midrange and treble frequencies to the speakers. The subwoofer is hooked up to the receiver with a single interconnect cable. Stereo receivers, pre-amps, and integrated amplifiers rarely have subwoofer output jacks or offer bass-management options.
So instead of using those connections, we’ll use the subwoofer’s speaker-level, aka “high-level,” inputs. Most, but not all, subwoofers have these inputs; they get connected using speaker cables to the same speaker output jacks on your receiver or amplifier that are also hooked up to your speakers. That means you have to double up the connections on the receiver or amplifier see photo below that illustrates that connection method.
The top picture has just the speaker cables connected to the stereo amp; the bottom picture has the speaker and subwoofer cables connected.
2018’s Best JBL Marine Speakers
Rated 5 out of 5 by ArihAsus from Absolutly awesome! I bought this speaker about 8 mouths ago, and I still get impressed when i use it. It’s just incredible the sound quality and power built in to that small thing, and for the price it costs. In fact, the batery life is not the biggest one, but never found that a problem. The only down side I see is the bluetooth connection, cause it sometimes fails, but i think you can’t ask much more with the price that it costs.
In a relation price-quality, i would say it is fantastic, so if anyone reading this is considering buying this speaker, I totaly recommend it, for in-door use.

Improving Stereo Performance of a Surround Sound Setup – Part 1
Reviews JBL Link 20 quick review: By Florence Ion Dec—29— The Link 10 is the smaller, cheaper version of the Link 20, while the Link is a larger, less portable version for bigger houses. All three devices can link with one another through the Google Home app for a surround sound experience. There is no auxiliary port to hook up other speakers manually, however. On top of the device, the JBL Link 20 offers playback controls, a Bluetooth toggle, and an Assistant button for conjuring up the power of Google.
A LED indicator will light up (or sometimes blink, depending on the model), which will tell you when the speaker is ready. Press (and hold) the Connect/Pairing button. Some speakers have a dedicated pairing button while others use the same button as the power on/off does.
The subwoofer has an 8-inch driver powered by a watt amp, which should provide more oomph than the 6. If you like, you can connect your source devices Blu-ray player, cable box, etc. You have to set the subwoofer level using a knob on the back of the sub. If memory serves, every other one of the plus 2. In my hands-on tests, I had a great time with the SB The sound was basically pretty good, although it was definitely on the bright and trebly side.
This tilt in the tonal balance made voices sound more distinct, but it often made them sound somewhat lispy, too. Geoff and Lauren noted this brightness when they checked out the SB , although both of them liked it pretty well overall. Attack of the Clones. The soundbar played plenty loud enough for me; I measured about 96 decibels average output on loud scenes from my listening chair, peaking out around 99 dB.
It expanded the sound beyond the edges of the soundbar and created a nice, subtle sense of envelopment without introducing artificial-sounding artifacts.
How to connect JBL speakers to computer?
Right now I have these beasts hooked up to the front headphone jack with a couple of splitters. This works but I am thinking about adding some additional speakers to get the surround sound going which leads me to a couple questions: I would prefer to get to banana plugs to the receiver, but I am not sure if the RCA connectors are just as good. Since these speakers are self powered, any concerns there hooking it up to a receiver that expects to be powering the speakers? I am open to getting a mixer if that would be better and find a way to hook up the mixer to the receiver, but I am assuming that will lose any Atmos or Dolby sound output.
I am not exaggerating with the use of beasts above and even with speaker volume settings, do you think regular home theater speakers will have a chance to be heard with these?
If the subwoofer features spring clips in order to use speaker wire, then you can use the speaker output of the receiver to hook it all up. This process is the same as connecting a basic stereo sure to mind the channels.
The company’s Cinema ProPack home-theater system backs up pint-sized satellites with an extrapotent subwoofer. Grab your tape measure Those components consume a significant amount of shelf space: Stacked on top of each other, they stand almost a foot tall, and you’ll need to add at least another 3- or 4-inch clearance for ventilation if you stash them in a cabinet. The five speakers, on the other hand, are as space-efficient as they come: People who don’t want big speaker boxes cluttering their living rooms will like these.
The brawny pound subwoofer, on the other hand, is a monster by HTIB standards: But it’s still easy to hide in a corner or under a table. Similarly, you can upgrade each piece of your home theater slowly. But the components in the ProPack are good enough that you aren’t likely to feel the need to upgrade soon.
It also includes an advanced digital-processing algorithm, Logic 7, which enhances standard surround modes and creates surprisingly natural multichannel sound from two-channel sources. JBL left off phono and 5. Also, the button-laden universal remote’s logistics aren’t the best; you have to remember to push the DVD or Main input-selector button, depending on the sequence of your commands. The five-disc DVD carousel changer serves up great-looking video and has all the basic connections, including component video outputs.
